Grade 43 is commonly associated with high-test carbon chain, while Grade 70 is a higher-strength transport chain. That language does not create a universal rule that Grade 70 chain is mandated for every trailer above a single GVWR threshold.
State rules, vehicle types, commercial-use rules, manufacturer standards, and complete-system design can differ. Procurement should use the approved vehicle specification and qualified compliance advice instead of a one-line grade heuristic.
